Select from four distinct routes and listen to engaging pre-recorded commentary in English as you pass by the notable landmarks and neighborhoods of Athens. Key stops include Syntagma Square, the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Panathenaic Stadium, the National Archaeological Museum, Omonia Square, Marina of Mikrolimano, and the Cruise Port.

Below is a summary of each route:

• Orange Line: Use this route to visit the Acropolis, Parthenon, and other main sites. It also includes stops at Hadrian’s Gate, Thissio neighborhood, and the National Library.
• Blue Line – Piraeus: This line links the Cruise Port to the city center, with highlights such as Pasalimani, Turcolimani, and the newly established Acropolis Museum.
• Yellow Line: Delve into the historic center and modern areas through this route, which features Flisvos Marina, Aghios Kosmas beaches, and various alternative neighborhoods.
• Green Line: Travel along this route to explore Vouliagmeni, an area renowned for its picturesque beaches.

How It Works

Your ticket remains valid for 48 consecutive hours from its first use. For instance, boarding the bus for the first time on a Monday at 3 pm means your ticket will allow travel until Wednesday at 3 pm.

During this timeframe, you have the freedom to hop on and off at any stops as often as desired to explore Athens' premier attractions, including Syntagma Square, the Acropolis, and the Panathenaic Stadium.

Schedule & Frequency

The operating hours for the Athens Hop-On Hop-Off Bus are as follows:

From April to October:

• Orange Line: 8:30 am to 6 pm, with buses every 15 minutes.
• Blue Line – Piraeus: 8:30 am to 5 pm, with a frequency of every 75 minutes.
• Yellow and Green Lines: 8:30 am to 6 pm, running every 75 minutes.

From November to March:

• Orange Line: 8:30 am to 5 pm, operating every 20 minutes.
• Blue Line – Piraeus: 8:30 am to 5 pm, every 75 minutes, and every 30 minutes during cruise arrivals.
• Yellow and Green Lines: 8:30 am to 5 pm, with a frequency of every 90 minutes.
