Greetings to my Upper East Side friends! It's time to embark on a journey through the iconic filming locations featured in the beloved series. We will be visiting the notable spots in Manhattan that were frequented by the key characters throughout all six seasons.
Our adventure will commence at the main concourse of Grand Central Terminal, the backdrop of Serena van der Woodsen's entrance in the premiere episode. After gathering, we’ll proceed to the Yale Club, a representation of the academic aspirations of Blair and Nate, who both aspired to attend Yale.
Continuing down Madison Avenue, we’ll arrive at the building that portrayed Constance Billard and St. Jude's School: the Museum of the City of New York. Here, we’ll reminisce about Blair's calculated moves, Jenny’s spirited mischief, and Dan’s role as the consistent outsider. It also provides a perfect opportunity to capture images on the famous entrance staircase.
Our next destination is Ladurée, the beloved bakery of Blair Waldorf. You’ll have around 15 to 20 minutes to discover this charming location and indulge in the macarons at your leisure. In Blair’s words: “Who needs a boyfriend when you have dessert?”
We will then proceed to the staircase of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Here, we’ll reflect on the intricate dynamics, tactics, and betrayals that defined alliances and reputations in the storyline. Next, we’ll seek out the serenity of Central Park as we stroll from the east side to the west, recalling the characters’ most heartfelt interactions.
Our excursion will lead us to the stunning Bethesda Terrace and fountain, the memorable setting of Blair and Chuck’s wedding. We’ll conclude our tour at the iconic Empire Hotel, where we can take in its distinct red sign and share final words and images following our 3-hour adventure.
