Nestled in the heart of the Westfjords, our adventure commences at 9 am at Þórsgata 8a in Patreksfjördur as we set off towards Tálknafjödur. Our route leads us alongside the picturesque fjords that connect these charming coastal towns.
During this immersive experience, you will traverse ancient paths that predate the establishment of Iceland's first road systems. Your guide will share intriguing insights into the local community and their distinct traditions.
This 5-hour hike invites you to discover the enchanting vistas of what is often referred to as the Land of Fire and Ice. We will journey through scenic areas such as Litlidalur, Lambeyrarháls, and Sudureyri. Fascinatingly, Sudureyri is known for its local folklore, with many residents believing in the presence of fairies. Together, we will delve into these enchanting legends while also identifying various bird species that inhabit the region.
Upon completing our hike, we will return to Patreksfjördur via minibus, with an expected arrival time of approximately 3 pm.
