We will kick off our historical exploration at the Memorial of Ismail Samani, recognized as the governor of the Samanid Empire and the founder of Tajikistan. This significant figure also lends his name to the highest mountain in the former USSR. In this area, we will also visit the Presidential Palace and see the country's flag, which proudly boasts the title of having the tallest flagpole in the world, standing at an impressive 541 feet (165 meters)!
Our next destination will be the National Museum, featuring 22 rooms that showcase a mix of historical artifacts and contemporary art – a true reflection of Tajik culture. After a break for lunch on your own, we will proceed to Kokhi Navruz, a stunning tea house that now serves as a handicraft museum.
