Our adventure begins at the designated hour in the Plaza de Nariño in Pasto, from where we will set off towards Ipiales, home to the magnificent monument we are about to explore.
During the two-hour drive, you will gain insights into the history, culture, and geography of the Pasto community. Before long, we will arrive at the stunning Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Las Lajas, an impressive neo-Gothic edifice that majestically overlooks the Guáitara River canyon.
This site holds great significance for Colombians, who frequently visit to pray and honor the miraculous image of the Señora de Las Lajas. Should you wish, you can participate in the mass held in the church, followed by a visit to the museum, where you can gain deeper knowledge about the history of this extraordinary religious site.
Following our time at the sanctuary, we will take a cable car ride across the Guáitara canyon, providing breathtaking views from above. We will then proceed across the border into Ecuador to explore the cemetery of Tulcán, celebrated for its stunning gardens adorned with meticulously sculpted bushes.
To conclude our day, we will make a stop at a nearby shopping center, allowing you some leisure time before we drive back to Pasto. You will return to the original meeting point after a full day of approximately 10 hours.
