Your journey commences at your chosen time in front of the War Memorial in Bayonne, dedicated to the fallen of World War I. Adjacent to this memorial, you will find the Château Vieux, a fortress with its roots tracing back to Roman times, having played a role in various significant historical episodes.

After familiarizing ourselves with these tales, our next stop will be the Bayonne Cathedral. Here, you can appreciate the magnificent Gothic design that graces its façade, followed by a visit to Rue Port Neuf, famously known as “Chocolate Street”. This area is significant for its connection to the Sephardic Jewish community, who introduced cacao to Bayonne back in the 18th century.
