We will convene at a time that suits you at the diving school located on Avenida Riachuelo, ready to uncover why this island destination is perfect for those eager to explore both underwater wonders and historical narratives!
Once we are equipped with our scuba gear and oxygen systems, we will plunge into the inviting waters of Ilhabela under the guidance of a skilled diving instructor. A journey awaits as we navigate through the wreckage of ships lost to the sea, such as the Aymoré, a cargo vessel that sank during a storm in 1920.
We will also come across the remains of the English ocean liner, Velazquez, which ran aground before succumbing to the waves with 137 crew on board. Fortunately, every one of them survived the incident – quite remarkable! Additionally, we will observe how marine life, including crustaceans and sea sponges, have made these wrecks their home.
After an immersive 4-hour exploration of this underwater realm, we will resurface and conclude our adventure.
