Tour Overview
Commencing with your collection from your hotel, the journey will initiate in Olinda, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982. This picturesque city, adorned with palm and coconut trees alongside the Atlantic Forest, presents breathtaking vistas that remain etched in memory.
In Olinda, we will explore ancient churches, notably the Monastery of São Bento, wander the artistic avenues of Rua do Amparo, famous for its workshops, and visit Largo da Misericórdia. Our adventure will culminate at the Alto da Sé, the city's highest point, where panoramic views stretch far beyond.
Subsequently, we'll proceed to the historic district of Recife Antigo, the very cradle of the city. Our first stop will be Arsenal Square, the second most significant square in the area.
In Recife Antigo, we will visit the Pernambuco Embassy, where we can deepen our understanding of Pernambuco's vibrant carnival culture, and stroll along Rua do Bom Jesus, honored by a North American publication as the third most beautiful street globally.
This iconic street houses the Embassy of the Giant Puppets, which showcases the beloved giant figures integral to the carnival festivities in Pernambuco, as well as the historic Kahal Zur Israel Synagogue, the first synagogue established in the Americas.
Our next destination will be Praça do Rio Branco, commonly referred to as Marco Zero Square. Besides its stunning architectural sights, this location allows us to appreciate a sweeping view of the Francisco Brennand Sculpture Park, an extraordinary open-air art gallery.
We'll also take the time to explore the Pernambuco Handicrafts Center, which showcases a diverse array of creations by the region's master artisans.
Concluding our tour, we will return to the initial meeting point after approximately 7 hours.
