Are you ready to witness a breathtaking sunrise from Bali's highest peak? Embark on this private hiking adventure on Mount Agung, promising an unforgettable experience!
Tour Overview
There are two distinct trails available for ascending Mount Agung. During the booking process, you can select the one that aligns with your skill level. Each option includes hotel pickup between 8 and 11 pm, a return transfer, an exclusive English-speaking guide, and breakfast with coffee or tea.
Pasar Agung Temple Trail (8 hours)
This trail is perfect for newcomers to hiking. Our journey begins at the Pasar Agung Temple, leading us up to an elevation of 9,403 feet (2,866 m), with a breakfast break along the way. Although the Pasar Agung trail does not reach the summit, it ends around 330 feet (100 m) short of the peak, offering equally stunning views. After taking in the remarkable scenery, we'll make our way back to the starting point.
Besakih Temple Trail (16 hours)
For those seeking a more demanding experience, the Besakih Temple route will reward your efforts with the stunning summit of Mount Agung. At a breathtaking altitude of 9,842 feet (3,000 m), you will be treated to one of the most spectacular sunrises imaginable! This trail through the lush jungle of Besakih requires some climbing assistance in parts. After passing through the forest, we will ascend a rocky pathway, enjoying the panoramic vistas of Bali below.
We will reach the summit just after sunrise, with the sunlight revealing the impressive caldera of Mount Agung. At the peak, we’ll enjoy a hearty breakfast to recharge before descending back to the base.
Pickup Locations
Hotel pickup and drop-off are part of this adventure for guests located in Nusa Dua, Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, Sanur, Ubud, Gianyar, and Sidemen.
Benefits of a Private Tour
