Tour Overview
We will gather at the scheduled time at the Casa da Vó Ivonne cafeteria, where you’ll find artifacts related to German immigration. After that, we will hop into an off-roading vehicle to kick off our journey. Are you excited to explore the wonders of Caracol State Park? Welcome to the invigorating essence of Rio Grande do Sul!
Upon reaching the trailhead for the Caracol waterfall hike, we will begin our trek through the lush greenery. As we traverse the path, keep an eye out for the native flora and fauna while enjoying the symphony of the waterfall and local birdlife.
Throughout the excursion, we’ll share stories about Guilherme Wasem, a German immigrant and one of the first settlers of Caracol State Park. In 1863, he and his family chose to make their home in this picturesque forest in southern Brazil.
Eventually, we will reach the magnificent Caracol waterfall, cascading from a spectacular height of 131 meters (430 feet) into the Lageana valley. Be sure to capture this moment! Weather permitting, you can relish the view from the Infinite Swing.
After a refreshing lunch, we will board the off-roading vehicle once again for your return to the meeting point, completing our journey approximately 4 hours after pickup.
