Our adventure begins at Tha Tien Pier, conveniently located opposite Wat Pho. After a brief orientation, we will embark on a captivating boat tour through Bangkok’s waterways, ready to explore its lesser-known attractions.
We will step aboard a traditional long-tail boat and commence our voyage through the picturesque canals of the city. Throughout the ride, we will share fascinating insights into the lives of the locals and the enduring traditions cherished by the community.
Our first stop will be at the Artist's House, or Baan Silapin, a charming traditional home that serves as a museum of Thai art. This stunning wooden structure, more than 200 years old, has been beautifully restored by its caretaker, making it a delightful sight to behold!
Continuing along our route, we'll explore Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen, a historic temple established during the Krungsri Ayudhya period along the Bangkok Yai canal. Here, the magnificent Big Buddha stands at a towering height of 60 meters (196 ft). Did you know that its construction was only finalized in 2021? Amidst this sacred site, we will discuss the temple's name and its significance by the canal's edge.
After a two-hour excursion, we will return to our departure point, concluding this memorable boat tour.
Partial Closures
Due to ongoing construction, we will only be able to admire the Big Buddha from the outside until June 2025.
