Upon our arrival in Rio, our first destination is the iconic Maracana Stadium, which opened its doors in 1950. With a stunning capacity exceeding 78,000, it stands as the largest football stadium in Brazil. Expect to hear fascinating anecdotes about its storied past.
Next, we will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, where you will marvel at its unique design. The cathedral, characterized by its distinctive conical shape, spans 106 meters (347 feet) in diameter and reaches a height of 75 meters (246 feet), accommodating up to 20,000 visitors. Following this, we’ll stroll past the famous Selarón Staircase, a vibrant tribute by Chilean artist Jorge Selarón to the people of Brazil – a perfect spot for memorable photos!
Are you ready to experience one of Rio de Janeiro's most iconic landmarks? Onward to Christ the Redeemer, situated on Corcovado Mountain, 709 meters (2,326 feet) above sea level. Towering at 38 meters (124 feet), this statue is amongst the largest in the world and has been recognized as a World Heritage Site since 2012.
Prior to exploring more of Rio, we will pause at a local restaurant for a sumptuous buffet lunch. To conclude this experience splendidly, a scenic tour through Rio's South Zone awaits us.
After an engaging 13-hour excursion, we will return you to your hotel in Búzios. Should you wish to extend your stay in Rio, you have the option to remain, and we can drop you off at Copacabana, Santos Dumont Airport, or the nearest taxi stand.

Be advised that from September 20 to 30, 2026, the Maracana Stadium will be closed to visitors, and tickets for an inside tour will not be available. However, we will still make a stop at this attraction for exterior photos.
