Our adventure begins amidst the verdant scenery surrounding Lake Baratz, the only natural freshwater lake on the island. This peaceful retreat offers crystal-clear waters and unique landscapes, perfect for capturing memorable photographs.
While we ride along the lakeshores, paths will lead us through a delightful pine forest. Expect to uncover the hidden gems of this region, culminating in a breathtaking transition from the forest to the sand dunes. Are you prepared for what lies ahead?
As we ascend the dunes of Porto Ferro Beach, which can reach heights up to 5 meters (16.4 feet), the stunning ocean vista will greet us from the horizon.
Continuing our ride down the dunes, we will follow the spectacular shoreline of Porto Ferro Beach, where three imposing 17th-century watchtowers stand guard over the coastline. These historic structures add an air of intrigue to our horseback adventure.
As our beach ride concludes, we'll make our way back through the forest. Throughout this two-hour journey, we will cover a distance of 7 kilometers (4 miles) while enjoying the scenic beauty of Porto Ferro beach and Lake Baratz.
