Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel or cruise terminal in Pointe-à-Pitre, setting the stage for an unforgettable private exploration in the French Caribbean.
This overseas region of France, nestled in the Caribbean Sea, encompasses an archipelago made up of seven islands. Kicking off from Pointe-à-Pitre, the regional capital, we will commence our journey through Basse-Terre, aiming to uncover the beauty of the two major islands of Guadeloupe.
Our first destination will be Petit-Bourg, a quaint village that boasts breathtaking views of the cascade aux Écrevisses, also known as Crayfish Waterfall. At this point in our itinerary, you’ll have the option to either explore Deshaies and its acclaimed Botanical Garden or visit the Zoo de Mamelles.
From there, we will proceed to Pointe-Noire, where the Maison du Cacao awaits, offering insights into the intriguing world of chocolate production found locally. Our next stop will take us to the northern reaches of Basse-Terre, presenting idyllic views of Pearl Beach.
As we depart from this slice of heaven, we will make our way to Sainte-Rose to discover an ecomuseum dedicated to Creole Art. Our tour will then guide us to the Grande-Terre island, where spectacular panoramas of surrounding villages can be enjoyed. Notably, we will have a prime vantage point to view the bustling port city of Saint-François.
After six enriching hours traversing the archipelago, we will make our way back to our initial rendezvous point in Pointe-à-Pitre.
