Next, we will proceed to Plaça de Sant Iu, a location that dates back to the 16th century. Our exploration will continue as we make our way to the Palau de Lloctinent, once the abode of the viceroy and home to the Holy Inquisition. Here, we will encounter some intriguing gargoyle sculptures.
As we progress, Plaça del Rei will greet us with its grand Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Are you aware that this location served as the governing seat for the Counts of Barcelona as well as the Kings of Aragon?
Continuing, we will visit Plaça de Sant Jaume, regarded as one of the oldest squares in Barcelona, which serves as the political core of the city.
