The journey starts at Mount Ainslie Lookout, an ideal vantage point for taking in stunning views of the city’s architecture and appreciating its evolution. Following this, we will traverse the grounds of the Royal Military College Duntroon, an esteemed training facility for the Australian Army.
Next, we’ll immerse ourselves in Canberra's narrative at the National Capital Exhibition. Here, you’ll observe Lake Burley Griffin and the Captain Cook Memorial. Continuing our exploration, we will visit the Museum of Australian Democracy (Old Parliament House). This guided experience reveals over half a century of Australia’s political legacy.
Moving from history to contemporary architecture, we will proceed to Capital Hill and tour the New Parliament House, where we’ll explore its significant rooms. A break for lunch awaits you at the Queens Terrace Café.
In the afternoon, we’ll navigate through Canberra’s diplomatic precinct. We will pass by The Lodge, which serves as the Prime Minister's primary residence, followed by a glimpse of various embassies located across the city.
Subsequently, a visit to part of the Australian War Memorial is on the agenda. This segment includes a brief guided tour, after which you'll have the opportunity to continue exploring the exhibits focused on Australia's involvement in different military conflicts. Concluding our tour will be the Memorial’s Last Post Ceremony, a moving tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for the nation.
