Day Trip Overview
Your adventure begins as we collect you from your chosen meeting point and proceed to the Holbox ferry terminal. From there, we will board a ferry heading to Chiquila's port, followed by a drive towards Chichen Itza.
While traveling, you'll be provided with fresh fruit, coffee, water, and soft drinks, during which we’ll share intriguing insights into the Mayan civilization's history and culture.
About five hours post-departure, we'll arrive at Chichen Itza, one of the most renowned archaeological sites worldwide. For 2 hours, we will delve into this ancient ceremonial center, taking in the grandeur of the Temple of Kukulcan along with other iconic structures. It’s noteworthy that this site is recognized as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.
After immersing ourselves in the rich tapestry of Mayan history, we'll start our return trip to Chiquila. Along the way, we will pause at the Pueblo Fantasma Cenote for a leisurely break. There, you can indulge in a delightful lunch featuring traditional Yucatecan cuisine and relax with a swim in the cenote’s crystal-clear waters.
After approximately 2.5 hours, we will arrive back at Chiquila’s port to take the ferry back to Holbox. We will conclude our day by saying farewell at the island's central park, wrapping up a comprehensive 13-hour experience.
