Tour Details
Prepare to navigate a winter wonderland on a dog sled! We will collect you from your accommodation at the scheduled time and head towards Kiruna, the home of the iconic ice hotel.
Upon our arrival, we will ensure warmth by providing winter overalls, boots, hats, and gloves to keep us comfortable for what lies ahead. Following this, a brief safety briefing will be conducted before we meet the real stars of our adventure—the eager sled dogs ready to guide us across the Arctic terrain. After greeting these furry companions, we will be prepared to embark on a memorable expedition.
The journey will cover approximately 10 to 12 kilometres (6.2 to 7.4 miles) through some of the most beautiful Arctic landscapes. As we glide over the pristine snow, we will be surrounded by spectacular views, making this an ideal opportunity for photography. A professional musher will accompany us throughout the ride, ensuring our safety and providing expert direction to the dogs, while we simply enjoy the stunning surroundings and the excitement of dog sledding.
Roughly 30 minutes into the adventure, we will pause at a remote Arctic wilderness camp. Here, we can warm up by the fire, indulging in hot beverages and traditional Swedish Fika—a comforting cup of coffee or tea paired with fresh cinnamon rolls, perfect for reenergizing during our Arctic exploration. While we relax by the fire, we can also spend some quality time with the dogs, who truly appreciate the affection after their hard work!
After our delightful break, we will hop back on the sled to continue our adventure. Another thrilling 30 minutes of sledding will have us meandering through snow-covered pathways before we return to town.
Upon concluding our adventure, we will bid farewell to the friendly dogs. Following this, we will escort you back to your hotel, concluding our day after approximately 7 hours together.
