From there, we’ll embark on an exploration of the stunning scenery that envelops the Pacaya Volcano. Our first leg will take us through quaint villages and agricultural lands at the mountain’s base, where lush greenery beautifully contrasts with the dark hues of volcanic soil.
Continuing up the volcano, we will journey through a vibrant rainforest leading us to Calderas Lagoon, the perfect location for a brief stop to admire and photograph the breathtaking views. After a refreshing pause, we’ll hop back onto the ATVs, tackling increasingly difficult paths filled with volcanic rock and sandy stretches, along with intricate winding trails.
As we ascend, remnants of ancient lava flows will come into view, culminating in reaching the summit where the warmth of the active crater will be palpable. Here, witness the stunning vistas of the renowned Acatenango Volcano, Fuego Volcano, and Agua Volcano. Prepare for a series of spectacular sights!
