Note: Specific terms and conditions apply to this product, which are detailed at the bottom of this page.
Details of the Day Trip
We will gather at 17 Floriana Straszewskiego Street at the scheduled time, from where we will depart from Kraków to the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.
After approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes of travel, we will arrive in the small town of O?wi?cim, a place that faced the brutalities of Nazism between 1940 and 1945. During this era of World War II, the Third Reich constructed the Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau camps, where horrific crimes were carried out against primarily Jewish individuals and prisoners of war.
Currently, these grounds are part of the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum. While exploring the museum, visitors can examine the sections where inmates were confined. The cell blocks, barracks, and latrines still bear the somber, dilapidated essence of that era. Additionally, the crematorium ovens, gas chambers, and the barbed wire encircling the site serve as stark reminders of its tragic past.
The tour also includes a glimpse of the notable train tracks in Auschwitz, which transported thousands of individuals from across Europe toward an inescapable fate. During your visit, you will have access to an English-languagebrochure to enrich your understanding of the history encompassing this somber site.
Upon completing the Auschwitz tour, after approximately 2.5 hours, we will reconvene to head back to Kraków, arriving after a total duration of 8.5 hours.
