Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Spandauer Str. 9, in the Marx-Engels Forum park in Berlin. A minibus will transport us to the Spree Forest, a Biosphere Reserve approximately one hour from Berlin.
Known in German as Spreewald, this area consists of various forests, villas, and meadows intersected by the canals of the Spree River.
Upon arrival at the village of Lübbenau, we will board a boat for a 2-hour cruise through the waters of the Spree Forest.
During the boat trip, we will stop at the village of Lehde, where you will have 45 minutes of free time to explore the culture of the Sorbs, a local West Slavic group. On our return to Lübbenau, we will take a walk through the historic center of the town with an audio guide detailing its attractions.
Afterwards, you will have free time to explore Lübbenau further or dine in a restaurant.
Ultimately, we will return to Berlin and conclude the trip after 8 hours in total.
