On this guided tour of Santa Pola, we will explore this beautiful town in the Bajo Vinalopó area on foot.

Tour Details

Our guided tour of Santa Pola will start at the specified time next to the Esteban González Boat, which is one of the locations of the Sea Museum. We will first visit this old fishing vessel, located by the port of Santa Pola. From here, we will observe the boats sailing to the nearby island of Tabarca and discuss the Parque Natural de las Salinas, a biodiverse ecosystem at the town's outskirts.

Next, we will venture to the Santa Pola Aquarium, another site of the Museum of the Sea, where we will explore its various ponds featuring notable Mediterranean species.

Following our visit to the aquarium, we will walk to the Plaza de la Glorieta to see the new location of the Sea Museum, the Castle-Fortress of Santa Pola, a 16th-century structure. We will enter this fortress, which also contains the chapel of the Virgen de Loreto.

After approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, our guided tour will conclude at the Central Market of Santa Pola, where we will explore various stalls in this popular market square and learn about the most sought-after products.
