Embark on a captivating boat adventure as we board a traditional Sardinian gozzo to explore the stunning coastline of Cagliari from the sea. This picturesque journey offers the chance to uncover hidden caves, turquoise waters, secluded coves, and the rich tapestry of ancient legends.
Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we will gather at the Dogana dock. Once aboard, the gozzo will glide gracefully over the water, bringing us closer to the untouched beauty of the Cagliari coast!
Our first stop takes us to Cala Bernat, where the sea unfolds in a vibrant emerald hue. Nearby, the Torre del Prezzemolo stands as a nostalgic reminder of past eras when watchtowers signaled impending pirate attacks. This structure, dating back to the 16th century, speaks volumes of its historical significance.
Next, we will approach Calamosca, formerly known as Cala del Sale. Here, we’ll take in the sight of the Torre de Arma, a guardian over the tranquil waters from its rocky perch, illustrating the area's historical maritime and military significance.
Continuing our journey, we will explore the remote Cala Fighera, a rugged cove steeped in mystery, believed to have once been a resting place for the devil. Along the cliffs, remnants of an ancient bunker and a rock-hewn well can still be seen.
A highlight of our trip will be the striking Sella del Diavolo, the most renowned promontory in the Gulf of Cagliari. Legend has it that this is where the devil was vanquished, with his chair transformed into stone for eternity. Beyond the legends, this area is rich in Roman artefacts, fossils, and prehistoric remnants, revealing stunning views from the sea!
Finally, we will sail along the iconic Poetto beach, the heart of Cagliari’s coastal charm. Stretching across immeasurable stretches of white sand, accompanied by a refreshing breeze and vibrant atmosphere, it serves as the perfect conclusion to our boat journey! To enhance your experience, a delicious apéritif, featuring a selection of cheese and cured meats, will be served during the trip.
Our journey will gracefully conclude at the initial meeting point after approximately 3 to 3.5 hours.
