The town is known for serving as the seat of the papacy in the 14th century and is nicknamed “the City of Popes.” It is also famous for the 12th-century Saint-Bénézet Bridge, inspired by the French children's song “Sur le pont d'Avignon.”
During this tour, we'll explore the town's history, starting from the Neolithic Age and covering its influence during the Holy Roman Empire and events of the French Revolution.
