Join us on a complimentary walking tour of Bra?ov, where we will uncover the city's key highlights, such as the Black Church, Catherine’s Gate, and Bra?ai Square. A true highlight not to be missed!
Tour Overview
Did you know that Bra?ov is renowned as one of Romania's most picturesque cities? To experience its beauty firsthand, we will convene in front of the News Caffe, adjacent to Nicolae Titulescu Park, marking the beginning of our exploration of this historic destination.
At the outset, we will immerse ourselves in the rich history of this Transylvanian city, situated close to the legendary Bran Castle, famously associated with Dracula. Nestled at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, Bra?ov is a medieval gem, where history unfolds with every step through the charming streets of the Old Town.
Throughout the tour, we will discover Bra?ov’s main attractions, including Council Square (Pia?a Sfatului), the vibrant core of the citadel bustling with cafes, restaurants, and museums such as the History Museum and the Council House, formerly known as the Town Hall.
We will then make our way to Bra?ai Square and Schei Gate, a 9th-century arch that marked the entrance to the old Romanian district.
In close proximity, you will also encounter Catherine’s Gate (Poarta Ecaterina), the oldest gate in Bra?ov, which is truly a treasure! Furthermore, we’ll stroll along Rope Street, recognized as the narrowest street in Romania.
The tour will culminate with a visit to the Black Church, a significant place of worship that served as the primary religious center between Vienna and Istanbul due to its magnificent architecture.
After 2 hours and 30 minutes, our complimentary exploration will conclude in front of this iconic church.
