Day Trip Details
At the appointed time, we'll collect you from your selected hotel in Quito as specified at the time of booking. From there, we embark on our journey towards CotopaxiNationalPark, located in central Ecuador, navigating the renowned Avenue of the Volcanoes.
Following a 1.5-hour drive, we will arrive at our destination. Our adventure begins with a 40-minute trek towards the glacier of the Cotopaxi volcano, which stands at an elevation of 4,864 meters (15,958 feet) above sea level. We will spend 30 minutes soaking in the majesticAndean scenery around us while replenishing our energy.
Once we are rejuvenated, we’ll descend to the starting point for our horseback ride. Here, we will equip ourselves with the necessary gear and provide you with essential safetybriefings. After preparing, we’ll set off on our ride.
You’ll navigate the trails on horseback alongside gentlerivers. This 1-hour ride presents a fresh viewpoint of the Cotopaxi and Rumiñahui volcanoes, allowing for sightings of Andean wildlife such as llamas and alpacas.
Upon concluding the horse ride in Cotopaxi, we’ll head to the LimpiopungoLagoon for a 30-minute stroll around its idyllic shores, where you can admire various water birds and embrace the serenity of this stunninglocation.
Next, we’ll visit a local restaurant where you will enjoy 1 hour of leisure time to savor delicious Ecuadorianculinary delights.
