The journey begins at Carrer de Martí i Franquès, number 21, where we'll board a bus to Montserrat, known as Catalonia's sacred mountain.
After about an hour on the road, we will arrive at this stunning Natural Park, where a guided tour of the Santa Maria de Montserrat awaits. This revered basilica houses the iconic sculpture of the Virgin of La Moreneta. Curious about the meaning behind her name? You will soon uncover the story!
Our exploration will continue as we visit the atrium, cloister, and main plaza of the Montserrat Abbey. Throughout this visit, you'll learn about the monastery's significant history and find out why it has drawn the interest of notable figures, including Leonardo da Vinci, Napoleon, and Hitler.
