Free Walking Tour of Bengaluru
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Shri Prasanna Mahaganapati Temple and once we're all together, we'll begin this free tour of Bengaluru. Ready? Well, say no more!
First, we'll head to the Venkatappa Art Gallery to admire its elegant facade. Did you know that it houses a rich collection of Karnataka art and artifacts? Afterward, we'll visit the Government Museum, one of the oldest museums in India, with its distinctive red brick structure.
Next, we'll make our way towards the Visvesvaraya Technological and Industrial Museum. This is one of the most important places in the city, due to it being considered by many as the “Indian Silicon Valley”, which is to say, where tech businesses are built.
The next stop will take us to St. Mark's Cathedral, where we'll contemplate the impressive Gothic architecture of this historic temple. Afterward, we'll enter the green spaces of Cubbon Park. As we walk through this vast oasis of tranquility, we'll talk about the endemic flora and fauna, as well as all the historical monuments that we'll see throughout the park.
We'll continue the tour at the Karnataka Supreme Tribunal, an impressive red brick building which has been declared a symbol of Bengaluru's legal heritage. There, as well as hearing about how the tribunal functions within the state's judicial system, we'll also learn about the unique architectural characteristics.
Our final stop will be at the imposing Vidhana Soudha building, one of the most important cities in the world, where we'll say our goodbyes after 2 hours together.
