Giethoorn Day Trip
At the indicated time, we'll depart from central Amsterdam towards northern Holland. After a 2-hour bus ride, we'll arrive at the picturesque town of Giethoorn, located near the Weerribben-Wieden National Park.
Upon arrival at the outskirts, we'll leave the bus to enjoy a trip by boat through the canals of Giethoorn, the only way to access the town center. During the crossing, you'll admire typical Dutch houses and wooden bridges that span the canals.
Our tour will include insights into the history of Giethoorn, known as the "Dutch Venice" due to the absence of motor vehicles. After the boat trip, you'll have free time to explore the town at your own pace. You may choose to enjoy a delicious lunch at one of the local cafés or restaurants, sample cheeses at the Willig Cheese Shop, or take a stroll along the scenic canals.
