Embark on a journey to the Giant's Causeway, a remarkable natural wonder recognized as a crucial highlight of Northern Ireland. Experience firsthand the extraordinary geological formations that this iconic site offers.
Giant's Causeway Tour
We will gather at 31 Chichester Street at the designated time to commence our adventure towards the Giant's Causeway.
The initial destination will be Dunluce Castle, where we will pause for approximately 10 minutes, giving you the opportunity to capture stunning photographs of the medieval ruins perched on the cliff.
Our next stop is the Giant's Causeway, where you will have a generous 1 hour and 30 minutes to wander through this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The breathtaking scenery will transport you to what feels like an alien landscape!
The Giant's Causeway comprises thousands of interlocking basalt columns, formed around 50 to 60 million years ago due to an ancient volcanic eruption. The cooling process of the lava gave rise to over 40,000 hexagonal columns. Legend has it that these structures are remnants of a pathway crafted by the giant Finn McCool.
Next on our itinerary are the Dark Hedges, where we will spend around 20 minutes. This enchanting location, lined with beech trees, has become a must-see attraction in Northern Ireland, even serving as a filming site for Game of Thrones to represent the King's Road.
Finally, we will return to Belfast, completing our tour in approximately 6.5 hours.
Finishing point
The tour concludes at the original meeting point in Belfast.
If you prefer, arrangements can be made for a drop-off in Dublin at the end of the excursion, a service that requires cash payment on site. Please inform your local tour provider via the email provided in your booking confirmation if you wish to take advantage of this option.
