Temples, pyramids, parks, and stunning viewpoints... Explore the hidden gems of Nara in this guided walking tour that includes a delicious lunch experience!

Nara Walking Tour

We will begin our journey at the Gyoki Bosatsu Statue, from where our guided exploration of Nara's rich history will commence.

During our adventure, you will have the opportunity to wander through the historic centre and marvel at a remarkable Buddhist pyramid, reminiscent of ancient Mayan structures. Additionally, we will visit the residence of a local merchant to gain deeper insights into Japanese traditions and lifestyles.

Next, we’ll savor the breathtaking panoramic vistas of the city from various hillside viewpoints. A visit to Nara Park will allow us to encounter its celebrated residents: the deer, revered as sacred emissaries in Japanese culture!

We will also connect with Japan’s spiritual heritage at the Kasuga Taisha Shrine and the illustrious Todaiji Temple, both recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

To conclude our immersive tour, a traditional three-course Japanese meal along with a drink will be served.

Our guided exploration will wrap up back at the meeting point, approximately 5 hours after we set off.
