Tour Details for 11 Days

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo & Flight to Luxor

Once you arrive in Cairo, we'll facilitate your visa processing to ensure a seamless transition to a flight to Luxor. This short journey takes just an hour. After landing, you will be transported via a motorboat to the sacred banks of the Nile, ready to commence an immersive 4-night cruise that promises an array of inclusive experiences!

Day 2: Luxor - Edfu

Awaken to a stunning sunrise in Luxor, showcasing a palette of ochre, scarlet, and orange hues. The cruise ship will anchor on the eastern shore allowing for a guided visit to Karnak Temple, where the fascinating history will enthrall you. Later, immerse yourself in the ancient Pharaonic spirit by visiting the Luxor Temple, Colossi of Memnon, and the impressive Hatshepsut Temple. After our explorations, we will enjoy lunch onboard and continue to Edfu.

Day 3: Edfu - Kom Ombo - Aswan

In Edfu, we will uncover the mysteries of the Horus Temple dedicated to the falcon god, an archaeological gem along the west bank of the Nile. Following this enlightening excursion, we will navigate the eastern bank to Kom Ombo to discover the Sobek and Haroeris Temples. Our cruise will then lead us toward the southern city of Aswan.

Note: Transportation in Edfu will be by horse-drawn carriage. Please inform the guide a day in advance if alternative transport is preferred.

Day 4: Aswan

This day will be dedicated to exploring the Philae Temple on its island. You shall travel by traditional Egyptian felucca to reach the site, where its UNESCO World Heritage secrets await discovery before returning to the cruise.

Day 5: Aswan - Abu Simbel - Lake Nasser

After breakfast, the Nile cruise concludes; however, our adventure continues. We will first head to the renowned Abu Simbel Temple, famed for its colossal statues of Ramses II. Explore the impressive temple and its adjoining Nefertari Temple before enjoying some free time in the afternoon. As night falls, witness a dinner accompanied by a sound and light show over Abu Simbel.

Tonight marks the beginning of a scenic 3-day cruise on Lake Nasser.

Day 6: Lake Nasser

Our first port of call will be the ancient citadel of Qasr Ibrim. Subsequently, we will visit the Amada Temple, believed to be one of the oldest ruins in Nubia. To round off the day, we will also explore the Derr Temple and the tomb of Pennut, a notable governor during Ramses IV's reign.

Day 7: Lake Nasser

The cruise continues as we head towards Wadi el Sebowa to visit the Dakka and Mahrakka Temples, sites steeped in intrigue. Post-lunch onboard, we will make our way back to Aswan.

Day 8: Lake Nasser - Aswan - Cairo

We will explore the island of the Kalabsha Temple, uncovering the history of the Kertasi Temple, rich with legend. After the island's tour, we will transfer to Aswan's airport to catch a flight to Cairo. In just 90 minutes, you will arrive in the capital, where a hotel awaits for your overnight stay.

Day 9: Giza, Memphis, & Cairo

Following breakfast, we will set out to the magnificent Giza Pyramids. This day, highlighting the majestic mausoleums of Cheops, Kefren, and Mycerinos, includes an interior visit of the second pyramid to learn about the grandeur of ancient pharaonic funerary practices, as well as a look at the iconic Great Sphinx.

Post a comprehensive 3-hour guided tour of Giza, we will visit a papyrus school to discover its production before taking a lunch break at a local restaurant. The afternoon will be filled with a visit to the necropolis of ancient Saqqara, exploring the Zoser pyramid. The day concludes with dinner at another restaurant in Cairo before returning to the hotel.

Day 10: Cairo

This day is reserved for a city tour, highlighting pivotal sites, including the Grand Egyptian Museum, where you can admire treasures from Ancient Egypt, including the funerary mask of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, discovered by Howard Carter.

Our journey continues to other noteworthy places like the Coptic Quarter, the Citadel of Saladin, and the Alabaster Mosque, facilitating an immersive experience that includes lunch and dinner at fine local eateries.

Day 11: Departure from Cairo

Three hours before your scheduled flight, we will provide transportation to the Cairo airport, allowing you to check in and board at your convenience.

Required Information

To join this extended tour, all that is needed is a round-trip flight to and from Cairo. Please ensure your arrival coincides with the scheduled start date, with a return 11 days later. Throughout your time, you can relax as all arrangements are managed.

We will strive to accommodate different visit timings to enhance your enjoyment of the experiences included in the tour package.

Departure Days

The direct flight between Cairo and Luxor described in this package is available only on Mondays. Therefore, selecting Monday as your departure day will follow the specified itinerary.

If a Friday departure is chosen, the itinerary order would be revised, starting with three nights in Cairo, followed by a three-night cruise on Lake Nasser and concluding with a four-night Nile cruise, ending in Luxor. We will arrange transport to the terminal for your flight back to Cairo.

Based on your arrival date, there are options to tour Cairo first before the cruise, or the reverse.

Our pricing is comprehensive: covering your visa, domestic flights, air-conditioned transport, accommodation, cruises, meals, guiding services, excursions, entrance fees (with the exception of the Great Pyramid of Keops), and gratuities.

Pricing Information

• The stated price is per person in a shared double room or cabin. Solo travelers will incur a single supplement fee.
• Three-person bookings will be allocated a double room with an additional bed. A separate single room for the third person will incur a single supplement fee.

Peak Season Notice

From December 20 to January 2 (Christmas) and during Easter, cancellation refunds will not be granted. Additionally, on these peak dates and other high season periods, itinerary sequences may vary.

The reduced rates for children apply when they share a room with two adults.
