Immerse yourself in the breathtaking Andean scenery that forms the natural divide between Argentina and Chile with an exclusive journey to Laguna Blanca. Along the route, you'll also appreciate the grandeur of the Cerro Mercedario peak.
Private Excursion to Laguna Blanca
Your adventure begins at 10 am as we depart from your accommodation in Barreal in a rugged all-terrain vehicle. Our direction is southwest, moving towards the stunning Andean regions that serve as a scenic border between Argentina and Chile.
En route, we will traverse the area known as "Junta de Los Ríos," where multiple river systems converge. This picturesque spot, resting at the base of the Andes, is a potential habitat for charming Andean llamas, which can be seen on both the Chilean and Argentine sides of the border.
The journey proceeds to the foot of Cerro Mercedario, a breathtaking mountain that rises above 21,000 feet. Here, our exploration continues as we navigate rivers and follow ancient mining paths in the jeep. Ultimately, we reach the renowned Laguna Blanca lake, where you can unwind on its tranquil shores while soaking in the stunning environment.
We will replenish our energy with a delightful picada de campo, a traditional Argentine picnic lunch. Afterward, we will venture to further parts of the Andean foothills, relishing the awe-inspiring vistas of the expansive landscapes.
Following a brief afternoon pause for a light snack, we will return you to your hotel in Barreal around 6 pm.
